Dada’s birthday was fast approaching and we wanted to host a dinner party with family and close relatives. One of our plan was to make a reservation to one of her favorite restaurant and order plated meals for each of our guests but she thought otherwise. She feels that they might not end up having their stomachs filled and at the same time, it might blow our budget, after all, we are going to have 12 guests.
As a couple, I especially Dada share the same interest and it is browsing the net and taking advantage of great deals and offers. I cannot say that we are cheap but we are indeed thrifty. I guess there may be a slight difference between the two. LOL!

Old house turned into a restaurant. |
So, as Dada was browsing the net one day, she came across an advertising thru Metrodeal on a low-priced Filipino Buffet. She checked it out and found it appealing. The coupon entitlement will only cost you Php 278 for each person with no purchase limit. We have contacted a friend and asked him to purchase those coupons on our behalf using his credit card. (We do not own one.) Original price was at Php 398 and we only paid Php 278 x 12. It was a great deal from Metrodeal. :)

Buffet Table |
Dada’s awaited day came and I told her not to expect much as we didn’t had the time to do an ocular visit of the place nor was able to do a “taste-test”. Lesser expectations mean lesser heartbreaks.

Some of the appetizers |
Most of our guests came earlier than scheduled and the staffs were kind enough to assist them and sit them on our reserved table. Our table had Dada’s name on it that made a feel of seclusion. We at the same time felt amused by the place. It was an old house turned into a cozy restaurant. The interior made it feel like you are on a Spanish era. The buffet trays were nicely arranged at the side and at the middle. Highlight of the evening was not the food but the Ice Cream Maker for most of our guests and the kids, which was near our table.

Meatballs with cheese |
So now, with the food, they do have many choices. Considering the price, that we paid for you cannot expect overflowing shrimps or crab though they do have a carving section for beef and pork. It was delectable especially the roast beef. Moist and you would see the sauce dripping out from the meat. Yum Yum Yum!

Kare-Kare |
The buffet lasted for four hours. It was four fine hours of eating, talking and laughing. We were the first one to get in and the last one to get out. I guess the best thing about it is that there were not so many patrons that day. They placed a limit on how many customers they can have considering the amount of coupons purchased, so it was not packed. The downside for me is that it takes a while for them to do a refill. I have this feeling that they wanted the guests to grab onto something else, like when the roasted beef got all served it took them another hour to replace it.

Overall, it was a great evening and most importantly, Dada was very happy. It was a very humble celebration but much enjoyed.
